Our
Story

The Local Osteo started up as a dream of mine to help those around in ways they couldn't help themselves in a place we both felt comfortable unlike many doctors' offices we have all been in before

So a job began, to create a space where patients could feel safe to share their story and allowed the team to ensure they left with three things ...

1. A clear and understandable diagnosis

2. A clear and simple explanation of what this meant for them

3. A plan of action to overcome and improve

The Local Osteo is dedicated to providing these three things or pointing them in the direction of those who can help whilst doing what we can.

Meet The
Team

Tanya Sargeant M.Ost. DO ND - Principal Osteopath

Hello and Welcome!

I am Tanya, I am an Osteopath and Massage Therapist

I graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Masters Degree in Osteopathy and a Diploma of Naturopathy. With 2.5 years of clinical experience, I have had the pleasure of treating a wide range of patients from various backgrounds.

I am passionate about helping those around me inside and outside the clinic. I strive to find new ways to treat people and optimise their recovery and lifestyle.

My love of Hockey, as a player, coach, and umpire, along with walking the fells of the Lake District, and all the injuries that come with these has shown me a different viewpoint of how the body moves, the different ways we all see pain and our attitudes to rehabilitation.

As a base for my practice, I strive to provide tailored care based on the individual, their goals, and previous history surrounding injury. My overall aim is to provide a holistic approach to my patients, to get them pain-free and back to full capacity. â€‹

I hope to see you soon, and get you back in tune with your body.
